Granton Junction
Freshly painted in fine Caledonian blue, this bridge carries the Carstairs line over Murieston Crescent, Edinburgh, south west of Haymarket station. The track here had to be modified to allow full running out of Haymarket when Princes Street station closed in 1965, as the Haymarket divergence was then single track at this point. The divergence at Granton Junction, where it separated from the once far more important CR Granton branch, was just to the left.
