Alloway
Former railway workers' housing beside the site of the goods yard at Alloway in 2015. The 1909 OS map shows this building and another smaller one - this would originally be two semi detached and the other detached - a pattern repeated at other stations. The original road access ran round the south of the yard, but now a new road has been built across the area it once occupied. The postal address remains 'Railway Cottages'.
