Butterknowle Goods
The terminus of the Haggerleases branch was at Butterknowle. The bufferstops were behind the photographer and the bridge in the foreground would have been more than twice the width that it is today. Beyond the fence is a concrete railway sign post lying on the ground, still there over 50 years after the line closed.
