Banovici
Amazingly a 760mm gauge steam loco emerged from a general overhaul in mid 2014 to re-enter service for the Bosnian coal industry - such was the case with ex-Jugoslavian Railways 0-8-2 No. 83-158 which, in addition to a thorough overhaul in the works of the Banovici coal company, was restored to something very close to its former JZ black livery (instead of the usual industrial green), including a new front numberplate. I had made the long train journey to Bosnia in the expectation of seeing it at work, but instead it spent the whole of my visit standing in reserve in a secluded corner of Banovici Works. At least late on the afternoon of 28th September 2014 the front of the loco was perfectly illuminated by the lowering sun.
