Dundyvan Junction

With the remains of Dundyvan Basin and the still open Monkland and Kirkintilloch 'mainline' behind, this was the view looking west in 2001 where the Monkland and Kirkintilloch's branch to Dundyvan Iron Works and Souterhouse passed under the Caledonian line. Dundyvan Iron Works' blast furnaces were just beyond the bridge, which today is a housing estate. Much of the branch is now a footpath and a bridge remains over Dundyvan Road immediately adjoining the Rutherglen and Coatbridge's Langloan to Coatbridge Junction curve.
