This footbridge linked the two portions of Bogle Street which were split by the construction of Greenock Central station, behind the large stone wall to the left. Straight ahead was the extensive goods yard. This photograph was taken during the reconstruction of Greenock Central in 1996, which largely consisted of the demolition of the remaining portion of the overall roof and the neighbouring station buildings. A much smaller station building was provided at the same time and the entry arches retained.
