The entrance to the original Fort William station at Station Square seen in a postcard view, probably from a vessel at the MacBrayne's Pier. That's almost certainly a connecting bus at bottom right. The station building to the left and modern building to the right were both swept away when the railway was cut back and a dual carriageway built along the seafront. The Station Hotel (now the Highland Hotel) stands above all on the hill.
