North Easterly view along the A636 Denby Dale to Wakefield road showing the over-bridge, on the former BR Clayton West branch from Shepley, which gave access to both the former terminus station a short distance to the right and the Clayton West Colliery adjacent. The Kirklees Light Railway now utilises the full length of the standard gauge branch trackbed for its narrow gauge services, with the semaphore signal on the bridge controlling access to its station located just short of the former BR station.
