Just to the north of the ECML, and just shy of Baileyfield S and C Works, stands this original Edinburgh and Dalkeith Railway bridge. This view looks west from Sir Harry Lauder Road at the bridge over the Figgate Burn on their Leith branch. The bend in the conduit shows where the later (1858) NBR line bridge was built alongside which gave the NBR access to Leith from Portobello and paved the way for the closure of the Portobello-Niddrie section.
