Edinburgh Waverley
Platform 2 of Edinburgh Waverley being infilled in 1989. I wonder how many times the platforms here have been re-numbered since the days of North Bridge station? It was difficult to imagine, in 1989, that these platforms would ever be needed again. Long gone were the numerous 'Penicuik Lines' and other destinations referred to by John Thomas in his book 'Forgotten Railways: Scotland'. See image 25831.
