West Kirby bound 508138 has just passed the old Bidston West Junction where the chord to Bidston North Junction, now a short reversing stub, left the line to Birkenhead and Liverpool. The chord was used by the famous Bidston Dock to Shotton iron ore trains. This view, taken from the footbridge at Bidston station, looking eastwards in November 2015. See image 53305 for the view in the opposite direction from the same vantage point.
