Huntington
View south along New Road at Huntington on the outskirts of York showing the significant hump just before the entrance to the Shepherd Group Portakabin production plant. A level crossing existed here on the York to Beverley line, closed 50 years ago in 1965. Earswick station was sited a short distance to the right, towards York, with Warthill the next station to the east. The former trackbed beyond the grassed area to the left, along the northern boundary of the Portakabin plant, forms a long linear car parking area. See image 53739
