The Alloa bound platform at Rumbling Bridge in 1991 looking to Perth. The Perth platform and goods yard are now a housing estate - these were to the left. The building seen on the platform was not railway related and has since been removed, it did occupy the location of a former platform building. A short lived terminus (1863-1868) existed to the north of the A823. This was replaced with the through station in 1870 which was used as a terminus until the middle section of the Devon Valley Railway opened in 1871.
