View north at Dalry in the 1970s. The station originally had quite a complicated layout with staggered platforms, loops and sidings from turnplates (see contemporary map on the NLS site), then a more conventional two platforms, later expanded to four and is now two again. The goods yard was to the left and approach to Blair Iron works to the right. To the south was a short lived Dalry Junction station at the point of divergence of the Ayr and Kilmarnock routes.
