At the River Antoine Distillery on Grenada (West Indies) is a short section of track where a wagon carries crushed sugar cane from the crusher to be dumped for drying. When dry the cane is used as fuel although the crusher itself is powered by a water-wheel. Unlike Scottish distilleries there is no 'Excise Man' supervising the still.
