Loanhead
Northbound from Roslin along the trackbed of EL&R approaching Loanhead on 14 March 2016. The line dropped down here to pass below the town centre at the crossroads of the B702 and A768. View is north east, showing the substantial 'enhanced road bridge', with Loanhead station standing 100m beyond see image 5708. The last rail traffic used the route in 1991, when coal stocks were being cleared from the closed Bilston Glen Colliery.
