Silkstone Common
Compared to the railway, the road passing Silkstone Common station is on a downward gradient towards Dodworth. At the Penistone end of the platform there is level access from both road and car park sides of the line. See image 54605. However, by the middle of the platform there is need for a lengthy flight of steps to reach platform level from the road; although conveniently there is a bus shelter at the bottom, and a platform shelter at the top, of the steps.
