Arriva North three car Pacer 144017 runs west through the site of the former Summer Lane station, closed 1959, shortly after leaving Barnsley on the 14.36 service from Sheffield to Huddersfield on 12 May. The track was previously double and the station had two platforms, with that on the south side, alongside Station Road, containing a long station building. There were also extensive sidings to the west of the station. View from a basic footbridge that has replaced the one that also served the station platforms. [Ref query 2763]
