With the S&C closed north of Appleby until at least March 2017, WCRC have substituted a weekly Carnforth to Scarborough run alternating to run via Skipton one week and Preston the next. On 7 July 2016 it was a 'via Preston' week and the return trip is seen arriving at Hebden Bridge. 37516 and 37668 did the honours between Carnforth and York with 8F 48151 doing the York - Scarborough leg. Having popped over from Preston by train I had the choice on the return of paying a part fare on the charter or waiting for the Northern Class 158 around 20 minutes later. No contest really when it is a chance of loco haulage over Copy Pit!
