Chorley
The weekend possessions continue between Euxton Jct and Lostock Jct in order that electrification preparation work can be carried out. The main element of work centres around the lowering of track to the south of Chorley and the rebuilding of the platforms. On 13 August 2016 the activity appeared to be a little less frenetic than when I visited 2 weeks ago but the bridge over a pedestrian underpass has been replaced and the formation to the south is now at the new level.
