Cowlairs East Junction
This rural branch line scene is misleading, for it is actually the north curve of the Cowlairs triangular junction in Glasgow. During the temporary closure of Glasgow Queen Street High Level in 2016, this curve was brought into use for services between Queen Street Low Level and Stirling/Alloa/Dunblane. The train is the 16.52 Low Level to Alloa service on 16th May that year. It is awaiting passage of the 17.01 Low Level to Edinburgh (via Springburn) service in order to proceed on to the main line.
