Hunterston Loading Bunker

Looking over Hunterston Import Terminal. One bunker was for coal, the other for iron ore. In the background the Midrex direct reduction plants can be seen - never used and later sold, dismantled and reassembled in the United States. (Now said to be in Saudi Arabia). It was to access this that the low level siding was built.

An EMU can be seen on the Largs branch.
