View over the trainshed roof towards Consort House (centre right), the former headquarters of Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, which is also due for demolition in the second phase of the Glasgow Queen Street redevelopment. Work is due to resume in November 2016. To the left above the station can be seen the rather more pleasing building that is the 1877 Merchants House of Glasgow, fortunately not obscured from this angle by the Millenium Hotel extension which adjoins Consort House.
