37113 had originally been withdrawn in March 1989 and was later used as a rebuild project for apprentices at Doncaster Works. Around the time of completion of the rebuild another locomotive, 37260 'Radio Highland', had entered the works having sustained serious fire damage. Following an assessment, Railfreight Distribution decided to obtain 37113 as a direct replacement for 37260 - including transfer of the nameplates. These were then carried by 37113 until its second and final withdrawal in August 1995, following collision damage sustained in the sidings at Portobello. 37113 was subsequently cut up on site by MC Metals.
