Barnby Basin
A display board, providing information about the horse drawn Silkstone Waggonway, is sited alongside the A635 between Barnsley & Cawthorne. A small plaque mounted on a low wall, and two short rails, face the road. The waggonway linked various collieries in the area to the canal basin that previously existed on the opposite side of the road to the display. The Silkstone Branch of the L&Y crossed over the road some 100 metres towards Barnsley.
