This new mural is in memory of the nine arch viaduct, the Devol Glen Viaduct, which brought the Glasgow and South Western Railway into the town via the Greenock and Ayrshire Railway line. The viaduct was 480 feet long and 100 feet high. On the 31st of October 1970 the viaduct was brought down with explosives.
