Farington Junction
47445 passes the Leyland Trucks factory near Farington Junction with a Blackpool North to Manchester Victoria Club Train in the early 1980s. The siding serving the works was disused for many years but in 2016 became the location for a temporary DMU servicing point during the Blackpool line electrification works. The former D1561 was withdrawn in 1991 and scrapped by Booth Roe in Rotherham three years later.
