The substantial Lead Burn Viaduct viewed from the west. This viaduct was just to the west of Howgate and not far north of Milkhall Level Crossing. Why this was built as a viaduct when this line has so many large embankments over culverts crossing similar burns I am not sure (eg two near Rosslynlee). Floods must have been expected.
