Chorley Tunnel

At the western end of Chorley Tunnel there is a steep sided cutting and to help keep the cutting sides apart there are a series of arches. On 26 December 2016 with the vegetation cut back in readiness for electrification, it is now possible to see some of the arches. The arches were carefully removed in 2015 for a steel arch to be put in place and the stone arch then placed on top.
