Uddingston West

No trace remains of this station now, but the footbridge steps on the down platform would have started somewhere just above the more solid part of the white fencing on the left of the picture. On the other side of the fencing is the deep cutting made during the construction of the M74 which obliterated most of the station site, the excavation made for the motor dealer's yard accounting for the rest. The line of the railway continued across a bridge long removed and through the trees in the centre of the photo.
