View east from the footbridge at Longniddry towards the former junction for Haddington. There is a proposal in the Rail Delivery Group document [PDF] (proposal 16) for quadrupling between Prestonpans and Drem. Here the former trackbed is relatively intact but for much of the length new land would be needed.
