Windmillcroft Quay

A tale of three quayside terminii. Windmillcroft Quay was the Clyde side terminus of the Polloc and Govan Railway. Riverside warehousing and the Kingston Dock were built here after the railway was cut back to the Tradeston Destructor. Euroyachts was established in the eastern part of a converted former warehouse. Just to the west was Springfield Quay, terminus of the Govan Waggonway and to the west of that General Terminus. The former warehouses are now gone and Tradeston Bridge crosses the river at this point. This view looks west in 1999.
