Eastfield Shed
Gresley D49 4-4-0 62744 The Holderness photographed on Eastfield shed in June 1961 minus various components. The locomotive had been officially withdrawn from Hawick shed 6 months earlier see image 24467. 62744 was awaiting transfer to Cowlairs Works, where cutting up eventually took place in March 1962. Number plates and nameplates (topped by the Hunt class Leaping Fox insignia) have been removed.
