Shettleston Yard

Mysterious objects stand guard among the trees in the twilight at the north side of the railway at Shettleston junction. These may be the stored sections of dismantled bridges and seem to have been there for at least 15 years. Photographed through the fence at Gartocher Terrace.
UPDATE: This is in fact the strategic emergency bridging equipment which has been there since BR days when Shettleston was the home of the Regional Civil Engineer's works and plant workshops. The 'modern' Network Rail building was built as a steel fabrication workshop by BR. (Thanks to Jim Watson for information).
