East Kilbride
East of East Kilbride on the closed line through to Blantyre and Hamilton. This location was close to the Mavor and Coulson Works, the view looks north-east. Grand ambitions here with a huge bridge to cross a double track. Arguably the Lanarkshire and Ayrshire Railway (and gradients) killed this as a through route for imported ore to the Lanarkshire iron and steel works.
