Metre gauge EMU 160001, on the Zentralbahn system travelling from Lucerne to Interlaken, calls at Brienz. Here passengers can change for the Rothorn Bahn steam powered mountain railway or Lake Brienz cruises. There are several rack sections on the Zentralbahn. Most services are formed by EMUs but in 2016 a few trains were still loco hauled See image 55885
