Skipton
The east end of Sidings Business Park, sited between Engine Shed Lane and the operational line to Carlisle, east of the former Skipton steam shed. The units are on the site of stabling sidings, where 41241 was stored before being moved to the KWVR. The operational line OHC can be seen on the left through Carleton New Road over-bridge, but a further single line size arch exists on the right heading towards the rear of the Ilkley line platforms. No line is shown on old maps as ever connecting to that route, although a Map of 1894 only shows a line running through the arch to a number of dead end lines on what appears be a possible tip. However these lines were no longer shown on a Map of 1911. Was the arch built to possibly link the shed direct to the Ilkley line, but never used for that purpose?
