Cambus o' May

Late winter photo of the former station building in Cambus o'May at that time under conversion to a small private residence. Part of the famous white suspension bridge is just visible in the left background over the trackbed below Culblean Hill. This part of the bridge was removed in 1988 at the time that the whole bridge was replaced. The Deeside Way was a long time in the future but it was still possible to walk or, with great difficulty, cycle on the full-depth ballast in an easterly direction to Dinnet Station. To the west a footpath/cycleway was already taking shape all the way into Ballater.
