Boroughbridge [2nd]
A view looking south towards Boroughbridge showing the dip in the road needed to allow the extension of the line beyond the original station, to Knaresborough, to cross the Dishforth Road on a bridge, of which the lower part of the abutment remains on the left, to reach the new station site. There is now a ramp upto track level, in place of the abutment and embankment, to access the yard of the removals company seen to the right. The retaining wall running to the Leeming Lane overbridge can be seen further to the right. See image 58528 for a view from the far end of the new station site.
