Beuron

Class 611 tilting diesels are the standard rolling stock on DB's
Donaueschingen-Ulm IRE service, linking the southern Black Forest with the
Schwabische Alb (Schwabian mountain region) to the east. Here a 2-car
service accelerates away from the village of Beuron on 6th June 2017. The tower
of the local Benedictine monastery, where the photographer stayed for a week
(highly recommended for a peaceful holiday), can be glimpsed in the
background. The Class 611s are concentrated in south west Germany, based at
Tuebingen. [With thanks to Bill Jamieson for loco intelligence]
