Rebuilt Royal Scot 4-6-0 no 46162 Queen's Westminster Rifleman stands in wait in the sidings on the west side of Carlisle station in the summer of 1963. The loocomotive is awaiting the arrival of the 2.15pm Liverpool - Glasgow Central which it will take forward to its ultimate destination.
