View south of the Ardeer Branch from the Lanarkshire and Ayrshire Railway bridge over it. On the right a curve from Ardeer Junction connected the L&A to the branch. Behind the camera the line formerly met today's Ardrossan branch. Ahead was where the G&SWR and L&AR lines met.
