Dahn Süd
A DB Class 628 DMU approaching Dahn Süd. These sets, built between 1986 and 1996, consist of a power car and a trailer car, the unpowered trailer being designated class 928. This service had started from Bundenthal-Rumbach, the terminus of the Wieslauterbahn, and was en-route to Neustadt (Weinstrasse). After further stops at Dahn and Hinterweidenthal Ort, the train will join the east-west line from Zweibrucken to Landau then continue north to its final destination. The building in the background, the Pfalblick Hotel, provides an ideal base for walking and cycling in this area, and the benefit of watching the trains on the Wieslauterbahn!
