Cockenzie Power Station
With the power station it served now a memory the short Cockenzie branch is returning to nature. There is still a physical connection with the main line (across the road behind me) at Prestonpans loop, but the branch itself is not just gated but fenced off. The semaphore signal remained right up to the end, long the only one in the area. For the same view in busier times see image 28116.
