Prien-Stock
A steam outline diesel tram locomotive stands outside the shed and workshops of the Chiemsee-Bahn at Prien-Stock in Bavaria. The photo was taken in April 1989 and at the time, the station of this short narrow gauge line was to the left. It is understood that the shed in this photo was demolished in 2011 and replaced with a new building and station. The station is next to a pier for ferries sailing on Chiemsee, including to Herreninsel and island where the palace of Herrenchiemsee is situated. The palace was built for King Ludwig II of Bavaria and is based upon the palace of Versailles.
