The site of Bingham Road station, to the left of the photographer, is covered in housing; but there is a footpath from the South side of Nottingham Road (number 72, for satnav') to the River Smite. The tarmac surface shown degenerates to ballast; encroaching nettles at handlebar height led me to regret my decision to cycle. The scenery is nice, though. This line started at Saxondale Junction and ran South to Melton Mowbray and Northampton.
