In North Cardiff, the Roath Branch of the Taff Vale Railway was converted to a road 'Eastern Avenue' in around 1970. It was crossed by the Rhymney Railway which is still operating as part of the Valleys network. A class 150 DMU is heading north, away from Cardiff.
