Sophienstrasse
A Tatra T4D / B4D set No. 224 056 runs along the Sophienstrasse in Dresden between the Taschenberg Palace Hotel (left) and the Zwinger on a Line 8 (Südvorstadt to Hellerau) working. 27th June 2001. Not being of low-floor design, these trams no longer run in normal service, but they do still see use over the Christmas period.
The development of the Dresden tram network was rather complex with a number of different companies involved and I've not been able to pin down who built this section of line. The current operator is the Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe AG (DVB).
