Scene at Bogston station in April 2007 looking towards the south entrance from Shankland Road. The bridge and embankment running across the picture carry the single line of the Wemyss Bay branch, while the overbridge from which the photograph is taken spans the station platforms, located on the Gourock branch see image 15207. The vacant area on the right accomodated a booking office at one time (the station opened in 1841). There are no parking facilities here, but a bus stop is provided alongside the A8, which runs past the northern entrance to the station at a lower level behind the camera.
