Magdeburg
DB 182 001 about to take RE11 from Magdeburg to Frankfurt (Oder). 182 001 was the first of 20 locos of this type which were acquired by DB in 2001 for through freight workings into Austria but then displaced to DB Regio duties by the 185 Class locos (also dual voltage). We had just arrived on this train, as the RE7, from Berlin Hauptbahnhof, on Saturday 16th of September 2017. En route we had been proof-reading a translation about a high speed rail milling machine made by a company in Brandenburg, through which we passed - rather appropriate!
